Abstract :
Tremendous air-conditioner loads already have significant impact on the operation safety of Chinese distribution system. In the view of demand response, this paper aims to enhance distribution system voltage stability by improving inverter air-conditioners dynamic characteristics under power system short-term fluctuations. First of all, an inverter air-conditioner load model based on dynamic phasor theory is proposed. Then after an analysis on some effect factors of air-conditioners load characteristics, an autonomous control strategy for inverter air-conditioners is presented and verified by simulation results. Finally, in order to providing ancillary services to the power system, a preliminary thought by integrating inverter air-conditioners into the emerging energy management systems is proposed.
