Abstract :
An overlay network simulation platform (ONSP) based on object-event scheme is presented in this paper. ONSP provide simulation methods for application-layer overlay network system. It can be used to simulate logistical environment based on wired/wireless mixed fundamental network The platform abstracts components of application-layer network into object models, and expands capability of node and link by inheriting characteristic. The objected-based framework makes overlay network become services resource cluster. We also propose an event strategy to emulate user sessions, which will help to study end-to-end QoS assurance research. Some experiment examples show that, ONSP will provide powerful function for distributed multimedia application, application-layer QoS, and overlay service network.
