Abstract :
We discuss the applicability of artificial intelligence virtual tools in addressing real world design for manufacturing issues and the lessons learned from experimenting with this approach. A current project that has predicted a 70% reduction in scheduling as achievable is addressed. Operation of the real production line of the project is discussed with a comparison of predicted values versus actual
