Abstract :
A protocol has been defined for use in a dedicated system for gathering biosignals from multiple surface electrode sights over a local area network (LAN). This protocol will be used to support multiple simultaneously functioning channels connected serially along a single wire. The device is designed to transmit data using a highly efficient data conversion and collection technique that eliminates concerns over data collisions and deals with the inaccuracy of transmitted information due to spurious noise problems and unwanted variances in experimental results. The goal of this system design is to develop a communication protocol that will be integral to a simple and portable system operating over a single transportation medium.<>
