  • Abstract
    The ESS has been studied to use regenerative energy all over the world. Recently, In Korea, The DC 1500V ESS was installed and managed in Daejeon Metro line 1 in 2009. This paper presents the control method and tests to upgrade the energy saving rate of the DC 1500V ESS installed in Daejeon Metro line 1. It was installed and managed. And the ESS saved energy, 318,824kwh and reduced CO2, 135.15tons for 10 months. Therefore, the ESS is considered to be one of the useful devices for energy storing and recycling.
