Abstract
This paper presents a new predictive control strategy for a PWM voltage source inverter operating as efficient interface between a dc power source and the ac utility grid. The prediction section of this strategy is widely different from those presented in literature and it is strictly related to the new electrical signal modeling, recently proposed by the authors, that has the advantage of defining, even during the transients, quantities normally considered only in sinusoidal stationary conditions. The good performance of the proposed control strategy is proved by some significant numerical results.
