Abstract :
Ultra wideband (UWB) impulsive radio systems represent a departure from current wireless communications systems in that they utilize an impulsive burst of RF energy as opposed to modulated sinusoidal RF signals to transfer information. Because of their impulsive nature, UWB technologies have the potential to impact current RF technologies and users. Among the list of systems that could be potentially impacted by UWB technologies, the Global Positioning System is of key concern. This paper presents the results of an analysis of the impact of an aggregation of UWB transmitters on a single GPS receiver
