Abstract
Precise measurements of dc voltage were made using a polarity reversal technique and the results were analyzed using the Allan variance. These were then compared with the Allan variances for unreversed or unipolar measurements of the same processes. The Allan variances were found to agree quite well, particularly for sampling times corresponding to the 1/f noise regime for the measurement of Zener-diode voltages
