Abstract
This paper focuses on the hybrid multiple attribute decision making problem with weight information unknown and defines some new operations of 2-tuple linguistic firstly. Then, an optimization approach based on maximizing deviation theory is proposed to determine the weights of the attributes which they can be used to aggregate the estimated values of different attributes into a collective 2-tuple linguistic by 2-tuple linguistic weighting arithmetic average operator. Finally, the proposed approach is proved to be effective and comprehensive with a numerical example.
