Abstract
Presents an overview of the ISDN (integrated services digital network)-like services in advanced countries and describes a promising service menu, based on the ISDN (integrated services digital network) experiment in Japan. The authors propose the integration of various terminal functions into six categories of multifunction terminals that handle voice, data, graphics and video signals and can meet the needs of ISDN customers. They then present a multifunction graphic terminal that is capable of covering the great majority of conceivable ISDN services
