Abstract :
Designers are looking more and more for new software that could allow the global simulation/verification of entire communication systems with analog and RF parts. In the currently used simulators, these parts can be simulated independently, but there is no tool to simulate them together. This paper describes a novel technique that answers to this need. It is based on a time-modulated steady state (MSS) algorithm with an improved harmonic balance (HB) kernel. An example of its application to a transmitter with a 3G HPSK modulator is presented
