Abstract
The present paper deals with experimental results obtained by two years monitoring performed in Catania ENEL Solar Lab on two different Concentrating Photo-Voltaic (CPV) prototypes which use respectively triple junction cells and high efficiency c-Si cells. Results show comparison between the outdoor performances of both CPV modules and systems. The main technical problems reducing energy performances and reliability of systems under test have been identified and actual derate factors between module and the whole systems have been calculated. Analysis of major problems enabled to underline the main goals to be achieved for the improvement of both CPV technologies.
