Abstract
This paper presents a power amplifier module that was designed for a wireless multisensor system. The PA module produces variable output power from 10 dBm to 20 dBm at 900 MHz. The module is composed of a power amplifier (PA) circuit and a power control circuit. A prototype circuit has been designed, fabricated and tested in a 0.35 μm CMOS process. The measured power efficiency of the PA circuit is over 35% for all power levels and the conversion efficiency of the power control circuit is over 85%. The overall power efficiency of the PA module is over 31% for all outputs
