Author_Institution :

Abstract :
In recent years sufficient success was achieved in the modeling and optimization of beamlines on the base of high-order maps. In this paper a new approach based on symbolic representation of high-order aberrations in matrix forms is described. We discuss all the pros and cons of such an approach
