Abstract :
It has particularity and advantages to produce cartographic data of topographic maps based on the national fundamental geographic information database, using database-driven topographic mapping technology. The paper takes the case of quality control on the recent national 1:50000 cartographic data of topographic maps as an example. It firstly introduces the whole quality control mechanism of cartographic data products based on the digital line graph. Then, it presents the whole quality control mechanism that involves both sides of technology and management. Furthermore, the paper mainly presents the all quality inspection of the national 1:50000 cartographic data of topographic map before establishing a database that includes operational flow, the technique method, and so on.
