Abstract
A frequency sensitive model for the transduction of load history into a bone remodeling stimulus has been developed. Although it is rather idealized, this model possesses several key features which are found in animal studies of bone adaptation. The behavior of this algorithm is illustrated using a simple cantilever beam system
