Abstract :
This paper takes 3D modeling of the zone and port area in Wendeng City as an example to explore the key technical processes of building a 3D virtual scene based on Google Earth. The paper also summarizes the technical solution of 3D modeling based on Google SketchUp. It implements modeling, distributing and sharing of 3D Virtual Scene based on Google Earth with solving problems such as the format conversion of large amount of models, the method of texture, positioning, and distribution of the model.
