Abstract :
The structure and algorithm of a discrete orthogonal wavelet decision feedback equalizer using error feedback was proposed. The feedforward filter was represented by a set of orthogonal wavelets and the corresponding coefficients. The feedback filter includes error feedback and decision feedback. The adaptation algorithm was also given. Discrete orthogonal wavelet transform has a better decorrelation performance and is easily combined with error feedback. The convergence speed of the adaptation algorithm is improved by normalized least mean square algorithm in wavelet domain. Error feedback is capable of converging to a lower value of mean square error(MSE) by reducing auto-correlation of error signal.
