Abstract
This paper proposed a novel flux weakening scheme based on model predictive control (MPC) for induction motor applied in electric wheel. This control method is implemented based on the voltage control strategy, where model predictive control (MPC) algorithm other than traditional PI regulators is adopted to adjust the flux current component. Experimental results on an experimental platform are given to verify the effects of the proposed method. By rolling optimization of MPC, quick response and little overshoot can be realized in the flux weakening control, proper d-axe current can be got by the proposed MPC flux weakening control method according to the current speed and load, it also has a good capability with torque disturbance. This method is very suitable for the control of induction motor.
