Abstract :
The initial-value problem to the homogeneous telegraph equation is investigated for the case of sources distributed on a circular frame starting at a fixed moment of time and then moving with the wavefront velocity along a straight line. Explicit solutions are constructed in the spa.ce-time domain and represented in terms of modes in the cylindrical coordinate system.
