Abstract :
Combining linear power amplifier with switch-mode power amplifier in a special manner, a novel switch-linear hybrid flexible waveform power amplifier ( SLH-FWPA) is proposed in this paper. The proposed amplifier employed a linear amplification unit as output stage to achieve high fidelity, and adopting a switch filter unit as the power supply of linear output stage to improve the efficiency. Small signal models of SLH-FWPA are derived and Orcad/Pspice simulation are also done in this paper. Theoretical analysis and simulation results verify the validity of SLH-FWPA.
