Abstract
Recently, many research groups are developing series voltage compensators. Since the series converter inserts a transformer into the power system in series, primary current flows into the voltage source inverter through the transformer. The secondary current which is determined by the transformation ratio generates the output voltage during a dead time even when the reference voltage is zero. This paper describes the cause of generation of the error voltage during the dead time and proposes a method of reducing the error voltage.
