Abstract :
Mobile cell device, as small-screen, limited computing ability and capacity of storage, can not browse normal web page successfully. On the other hand, it is necessary to tailor Web page for the purpose of personalized and customizable WEB access mode, and also to cut down surfing cost for mobile consumers. To meet those two side requirements, a new web page adaptation scheme is proposed in this paper: firstly, parse and structure HTML documents; secondly, convert the structured HTML into DOM model, analyzing them into content block and link block; thirdly, tail and reconstruct web page for the adaptation of mobile device. The proposed adaptation scheme is put into practice as a prototype, which verifies the scheme and shows its values in both technical and economical viewpoints.
