Abstract :
This paper tackles the problem of driving stability for a hybrid vehicle. A rear electric motor has been added to the vehicle and the positive/negative torque generated by this motor affects the driving conditions. The problem of yaw stability control is addressed using a high order sliding modes (HOSM) control for handling the system under uncertain driving conditions. The proposed control can cope against the vehicle uncertainties and external perturbations. The feasibility of this approach was tested in a vehicle simulator.
