Abstract :
Since variable air volume (VAV) systems become more economical than other alternative systems, the building industry nowadays has widely adopted VAV systems in the building engineering to maintain the cooling and heating demands. However, because VAV system is multivariable, strongly coupled, nonlinear, and time variant, it is more difficult in design, performance and management than constant air volume (CAV) system. The paper applies the Adaline PID controller to decouple and control the AHU part of VAV air conditioning system based on the neuron adaptive decoupling control strategy. The validation was made in the paper through Matlab simulation and the results shows that this decoupling and control strategy is efficiency.
