Human-machine interface specifications in the “computing everywhere” age

In the near future, computers will be embedded in all kinds of facilities. They will be connected by computer networks, cooperate with each other, and support our daily life. In such a “computing everywhere” environment, human beings will be surrounded by numerous computers and use them anytime anywhere. Thus, in the “computing everywhere” environment, human interfaces to embedded computers are very important. We have built TRON Human-Machine Interface Specification to make human-machine interfaces in the “computing everywhere” environment consistent and to free users from confusion in using many kinds of electronic equipment.
