Abstract :
An analysis on system availability and weather variability was conducted to assess the impact of these factors on the overall system performance. Comparisons of the yields and performance ratios of different technologies and trackers setup have been conducted. Through an analysis of the above factors, it has been concluded that they all affect the system performance on varying scales. An understanding of the temperature effect on modules and the module technology is detrimental in modeling the system´s performance. However, the plant´s availability is the largest controllable area for improvement in the plant´s performance.
