Abstract :
This paper studies boost methods for NCPBD, which is a boost driver with a small and reasonable configuration. These methods are realized by implementing the switching for the DC link voltage boost in SVM for the motor voltage control. The experimental results confirm that these methods enable NCPBD to boost the DC link voltage without degrading the motor drive performance. In addition, these methods are confirmed to be able to reduce the harmonic components of the motor voltage and current, which discounts the possibilities of the demagnetization of the magnets in the motor.
