Abstract
Detroit Edison has had a reactive supply program for many years. The purpose of this program was to support the voltage and relieve the reactive flow on the transmission system. Another benefit was that it reduced the power losses on the distribution system and helped improve the voltage on the distribution system. This paper will present the workings of the program as it now stands.
