Abstract
The paper presents the results of the development and characterisation of a three-phase reference power analyser ENERGOMONITOR 3.1. The power analyser is primarily designed for the calibration of industrial power analysers and for the most accurate field measurements of electrical power. The instrument is based on a method of calculating the measurement results from the array of sampled data that does not require the synchronisation of sampling and test signal frequencies. The analysis of a mathematical model has shown that theoretical errors in the measurement of basic energy quantities with distorted voltage and current waveforms do not exceed 0.003 % for the least favourable combinations of harmonic amplitudes and phases. The paper gives results of calibration of the power analyser against the standards at VNIIM
