Abstract :
It is shown how the complementary finite element method can be applied to problems involving the computation of electromagnetic parameters in axisymmetrical fields. The results obtained using such methods provide error bounded solutions to electromagnetic parameters, and may be compared with those found through application of the conventional finite element method. To illustrate the technique, the conductance of single-phase water resistors is investigated. Comparisons are made on the convergence speed for a given degree of accuracy. Close agreement is observed between the results obtained from computation and those from experiments.
