Abstract
It is now widely recognised in Europe, and elsewhere, that work-related stress is a problem of increasing concern to both individuals and organizations. The current scientific consensus on the nature of such stress, its causes and its effects are briefly described in this paper. Current issues with regards the control of work-related stress are discussed in the context of the risk assessment-risk management approach
