  • Abstract
    With the development and comprehensive application of information technology and conception of logistics management, many enterprises pay more attention to warehouse management, which plays a key role to ensure daily operation and has potential profit to mine. This paper proposes a new system model of Real-Time Location System (RTLS) based on the technology of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and Wi-Fi to realize materials tracking, which can make lots of warehouse work automatically, such as stock-taking, storage positioning and checking. The system model redounds to realize automatic, digital and intelligent management of warehouse by using improved location, recognition and tracking methods. Finally, a case of an automobile enterprise is put to show the application of proposed model. It is demonstrated that the new system according to this model greatly improves the efficiency of the warehouse operations, reduces management costs, and makes considerable economic benefit.
