Abstract :
The enhanced multinet gateway (EMG) is a multilevel secure packet-based gateway that is being developed. The functions, capabilities, and security features of the EMG are described. As outlined, the EMG will provide for the secure flow of data from a single- or multilevel secure host or network to another host or network operating at an equal or higher security level. It will interface to a wide variety of commercial and tactical networks to provide a secure, adaptable means of information transmission between tactical and strategic military systems
