Abstract :
This paper provides a mobile GIS solution which can provide LBS by adding an external Bluetooth GPS receiver, toward the mobile terminal which does not have in-line GPS-function. Through an external Bluetooth GPS receiver, the mobile terminal can get current position´s coordinate, and create the gird map which marks the mobile terminal´s current position. Terminal receive this map can easily find the current position of itself. The solution could achieve the target of map services and LBS for ordinary Java phone. The price of Bluetooth GPS receive is low, adding Bluetooth GPS receiver can save resources. The client application in this solution is based on J2ME technology. This solution is suitable for mobile terminal which is Bluetooth-enabled and J2ME-enabled.
