Abstract
Land use types are important parameters in the evaluation of the ecological environment. Through the analysis of land use change information, we can partly gain the understanding of the evolution status of a region´s economic, social, cultural, and ecological environment. Based on the theory of probability and introducing the information entropy concept, the paper puts forward the concept of land-use anomaly entropy (LUAE). Through actual experiment, it shows that the index can express the land-use change information effectively. The requirement is low for the registration accuracy and resolution of the images, so that can be used to analysis multi-source and multi-scale images, which will has a good application prospect.
