  • Abstract
Up to now, IT based online services are mostly developed within singular projects due to the lack of suitable engineering methodologies. Cooperation and reuse between projects are low, and development cost and time prolongate accordingly. The domain engineering approach (A. Borusan, 2003) copes with this problem by separating between a general modeling of the whole application domain and a specific application or service within this domain. However, even this approach does not cooperate very well with the later end users, and it takes a rather long time until the first pilot service becomes available. Objective of this paper is to describe a new, two-phased framework-based engineering methodology, which integrates the later users throughout the whole engineering cycle and combines methodological approaches from software and service engineering. Thus software and service become much better interlocked, and whole product lines can be developed efficiently
