Abstract :
Although wireless networks and mobile communications can be used for many applications, particular application environments seem to be important. Trust and culture can build particular application environments. This study combines trust, culture theory and knowledge-based perspectives to develop a general model of building integration capability and improving performance. We analyze the model using a structural equation model approach, and 208 firms in China are selected as the samples of this study. The results conclude that: (1) The higher the level of trust, the higher the level of innovation culture; (2) Trust is a function of its integration capability; (3) Trust has no significantly impact on performance; (4) innovation culture is a function of its integration capability; (5) innovation culture has no significantly impact on performance; (6) integration capability will significantly impact on performance. Managerial implications are explored and future research directions are also identified.
