Abstract :
Summary form only given. In this contribution we report on an all fiber laser system of Yb-doped fibre emitting up to 25 W at 1120 nm. Applying this laser system as the pump source of a thulium-doped upconversion fiber laser output powers in excess of 1 W at 480 nm should be easily feasible.
