Abstract
Many alternatives have been introduced to the commutator fusing industry in the last few years. This new technology is reviewed, and an attempt is made to provide some insight into the relative importance of these new alternatives. Specific topics addressed include basic fusing sequence, fusing electrode pressure control, initiating heat, heat control and power sources
