Abstract
This paper proposed Hinfin based fault diagnosis filter for linear high voltage direct current system. The linear perturbation model of HVDC system is given, and then the state observer is established. The fault diagnosis of linear perturbation model is formulated as model matching problem by choosing proper reference model, and then further changed into robust stability analysis problem. The solvable condition and further the solution are given and validated. Finally some classical faults in transmission of HVDC system are simulated and detected. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
