Abstract
There is an increasing need for emergency decision-making support on the acquisition of background knowledge. However such background knowledge decision-makers needed is usually distributed with the form of heterogeneous knowledge pieces that should be reorganized according to the scenarios of occurrent emergency problems. Knowledge pieces, like micro-view ontologies, are defined as typed categories. We present a categorical Pushouts based knowledge merging method to achieve the automatic and semantics oriented reorganization on knowledge pieces. Drawing on the experiences of V-alignment and W-alignment, These Pushouts of functors are glued via merging common diagrams from typed composition rules to yield bridge knowledge pieces, and this successive process is recursive to a single, merged knowledge piece.
