Abstract
A new variable-step-size (VSS) LMS algorithm is proposed, and its performance is analyzed. Simulation results indicate that the performance is superior to that of existing VSS algorithm. The proposed algorithm is then applied to multi-path interference (MPI) cancellation in FM broadcast-based passive radar; experiments shows over 40 dB of MPI can be cancelled and a fast convergence rate as well as a small steady-state misadjustment (SSM) are obtained.
