Abstract :
People with spina bifida have to take a special abilities test in order to receive a drivers license from the state of Louisiana. The Spina Bifida Association of Greater New Orleans has requested a device to help people with spina bifida prepare for this test. The device tests reaction time using a set of lights (output), a processor and program that measure reaction time and a hand controller similar to the type used in motor vehicles adapted for handicapped people (input). This device allows for the testing of reaction time and the practicing of the test in an attempt to improve reaction time.
