Abstract :
Discusses the issues pertaining to the discrete implementation of continuous frequency domain control design. The effect using an approximation of a delay term is discussed in conjunction with the phase error associated with the transformation of a continuous controller to its discrete counterpart. A direct discrete frequency domain design method based on loop shaping is presented as a technique to avoid the phase errors that occur with continuous-to-discrete transformations
