Abstract
The instrumentation and measurement techniques chapter of the proposed IEEE Emerald Book, a recommended practice for conducting site surveys, is summarized. Wiring and grounding measurement techniques and power disturbance monitoring are described. Instrumentation for accomplishing the surveys and longer-term monitoring are also described. For the three types of monitors discussed (event indicators, text monitors, and waveform analyzers), data capture techniques are examined
