Abstract
We propose a new design method to overcome the singularity problem in a self-tuning control system when using the pole placement technique. This method uses the fuzzy gradient least squares estimation to identify the coefficients of the plant and guarantee the controllability of the estimated plant model. From the simulation results, it is seen that the proposed method can have satisfactory results
