Abstract
A photoplethsysmographic sensor has been applied to the finger pad to derive the blood volume pulse. This has been carried out during physical exercise by the subject, and the waveforms have been processed in order to extract indexes which correlate with the physiological effects of the exercise. The amplitude probability density function appears most promising for this index.<>
