Abstract
Summary form only given. For the first time the self optimized position of quantized pulses is demonstrated in figure-eight fiber laser by using a dispersion-imbalanced nonlinear optical loop mirror with lumped dispersive elements. As the pump power is varied, the number of pulse in our fiber laser is controlled, and a stable single pulse is generated.
