Abstract :
We propose a design based on extending the notion of a fuzzy set to a fuzzy multiset. As the concept of fuzzy set is itself a generalization of a standard set notion, any further generalization should be carefully motivated. We concentrate on two reasons, the first one being the continuity of the fuzzy arithmetic, the other a virtual necessity for the otherwise elaborate structures in approximating continuous fuzzy sets by the finite ones
